Ask question |
| I have been having a lot of trouble lately trying to figure out the whole beauty versus tomboy thing. I know I am pretty, and I don't wear a ton of makeup, but it seems like the guys only like the girls that either come to school in a sweatshirt and jeans with no makeup, or the girls that show off way too much of their bodies. I'm not at all like those two types of girls. I always want to look my best for school and other places, but I think guys just see me as pretty--not someone they would want to date. What should I do? | |

I've thought about your question a lot, so don't let the short answer fool you! Here's my conclusion (drumroll, please): Just be yourself! In high school, guys might be intimidated by your beauty, but they'll grow out of it eventually (at least the ones who are worth your time). You just focus on becoming more and more beautiful on the inside (a.k.a., become more like Christ), and wait for the Lord's perfect timing for a relationship. It would be silly to change who you are just to get a boyfriend. Hope that helps!
